The phone number for the Village Hall is (309) 274-5145. Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays, you may contact specific village personnel through the touch tone menu at this number. On weekends and after business hours, you may leave a general message in the voice mailbox. The voice mailbox is monitored after hours and on weekends, so urgent needs such as a tree blocking the road or a water main break, etc. will receive a response even after hours. Non urgent messages received after hours will be answered during business hours on the next business day. For medical or police and fire emergencies, dial 9-1-1.
Reporting Dogs on the Loose
If you need to report a dog on the loose, contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office using the non-emergency number: (309) 246-2115. The sheriff’s office can coordinate to have a dog catcher come to take the dog. Once you have contacted the county about the dog, email the clerk below to notify the village. The village can impose a fine above and beyond the county impound fees on residents who allow their dogs to run loose and whose dogs are impounded.
