Our next consolidated village election will take place on April 6, 2027. There are 4 seats up for election; Village Clerk and 3 Board of Trustees positions. See the list and description of board positions on our Board & Staff page.
Candidates for the 2027 Hopewell Election can begin collecting petition signatures starting Tuesday, August 25th, 2026. Each candidate must collect 7 signatures.
Candidate Filing Packets are now available
The packets are available online or can be requested by emailing the Village Clerk.
The packets include election information, required candidate forms and filing instructions. Prospective candidates should review the Candidate Guide before collecting signatures to make sure they meet all requirements and deadlines.
The Village of Hopewell holds nonpartisan elections, meaning candidates do not run under a political party affiliation.

- Trustee position 2
- Trustee position 3
- Village Clerk
Election Schedule
- August 25th, 2026 – Candidates may begin petition circulation
- November 16th, 2026 – First day to file nomination papers
- November 23rd, 2026 – Last day to file nomination papers
- April 6, 2027 – Consolidated election
